Hello Friends!!  I hope this week finds you all well.  For many--it is the week when we celebrate Christmas, at least here in the USA.

Today I am  popping to to share I created for the Our Daily Bread Designs challenge as well as to wish my viewers are very merry and blessed Christmas!!!  May the joy, hope, love, and peace of the Savior's birth be with you at Christmas and throughout the year.

Here is the card I created with the ODBD sketch.  It may be one of my last Christmas cards for the year...it depends on what time allows.  This week seems so busy!!

Our Daily Bread Designs, Admit Three, Mini tag sentiments, God's Timing, Peaceful Poinsettia die, Quatrefoil Pattern die, Quatrefoil Design die, Fancy Foliage die, Mini Tag dies, designer-Chris Olsen

 ODBD Paper Used: Patriotic collection

Here is the sketch:

Have you thought about that great Christmas gift from long ago that is still our gift today.  What a blessing that God would come to us by sending His Son.  He came as a baby that would eventually save the world from our sins!!  Only He could save us!!

This is one of my fave songs which really makes me think.
It is by Joy Williams and is called Here with us. Here is a Youtube link or click on the arrow below. If you have a moment, you will be blessed to listen and watch the video.

It's still a mystery to me

That the hands of God could be so small,

How tiny fingers reaching in the night
Were the very hands that measured the sky

Chorus
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Heaven's love reaching down to save the world
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Son of God, Servant King,
You're here with us
You're here with us

Verse 2
It's still a mystery to me, oh,
How His infant eyes have seen the dawn of time
How His ears have heard an angel's symphony,
But still Mary had to rock her Savior to sleep

Chorus
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Heaven's love reaching down to save the world
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Son of God, Servant King
Here with us
You're here with us
(Ohh, mmm, here with us)

Bridge
Jesus the Christ, born in Bethlehem
A baby born to save, to save the souls of man

Chorus (2x)
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Heaven's love reaching down to save the world
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Son of God, Servant King
You're here with us
You're here with us

Have a blessed Christmas my friends!!

These ladies have been such a gift to me and I will sincerely miss them.  I am so blessed that God allowed us to cross paths with you ladies and that we could build a strong friendship (sisters in Christ).  This is not a goodbye but rather a TTYS!! You are both in my prayers!  Thanks for your kindness, help and constant support!! It is deeply appreciated.

Hello Friends!!

Today I am popping in to share yet another Christmas card!!  Christmas is almost here...9 days!  Where does the time go!!

For my creation, I incorporated the Shining the Light challenge which is a sketch using the newest releases: Mini Tag Sentiments, Let It Snow, Mini Tag dies as well as the previously released Holly Wreath and coordinating Holly wreath die.

Our Daily Bread Designs, Let it Snow, Mini Tag Sentiments, Mini Tag dies, Holly wreath die, designer-Chris Olsen

Card Recipe:
Paper-K&Co from stash

John 3:16 For God so love the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

There is much controversy over Christmas originated.  Many believe it began with the pagans...it very may well have.  Today, Christmas for the Christian, however, means the celebration of Christ's birth as the Savior of the world and it symbolizes new hope and new life to all those who believe.  The wreath for example, symbolizes unending love and everlasting life as shown with the circular shape and the evergreen.  Christmas is not just in the heart of a Christian on December 24 but all year long.  May the hope, joy, love and peace be with you this season as you remember how Jesus came to earth as a humble baby to save our sins.  We could not save ourselves, we needed a Savior.  He paid the penalties of our sins that so someday all those who believe can have eternal life.

I hope you have enjoyed my take on the inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you enjoy my creation!! For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my dt sisters: Cheryl ScrivensDJ RantsDiana NyugenRobin ClendenningLinda Carson, and Elizabeth Whisson.

Hello Friends!! I find this post finds you all well.  It is hard to believe it is December and Christmas is just a couple of weeks away!!  I don't know about you all but I sure am not ready. I am still working on cards.  I so love this time of year, it is filled with so much joy.  Our church has so many services celebrating the Savior's Birth and the true meaning of Christmas.

With the true meaning of Christmas in mind, I decided to make a Christmas card with a poinsettia for this week's Shining the Light challenge:

Our Daily Bread Designs, Poinsettia Ornament, Let it Snow, Mini Tag Sentiments, Mini Tag Dies, Circle Ornament Dies, Matting Circles, Beautiful Borders, Fancy Ornaments, Designer-Chris Olsen

ODBD Card Recipe:
ODBD Stamps Used: Poinsettia Ornament, Let it Snow, Mini Tag Sentiments
ODBD Dies Used: Beautiful Borders, Matting Circles, Circle Ornaments, Fancy Ornaments, Mini Tag dies
While the origin of the Christmas poinsettia is red or white, I decided to make mine gold and white to show the royalty, purity, and priceless gift or the Savior.

There is an old Mexican legend about how Poinsettia's and Christmas come together, it goes like this:
There was once a poor Mexican girl called Pepita who had no present to give the the baby Jesus at the Christmas Eve Services. As Pepita walked to the chapel, sadly, her cousin Pedro tried to cheer her up.

'Pepita', he said "I'm sure that even the smallest gift, given by someone who loves him will make Jesus Happy."
Pepita didn't know what she could give, so she picked a small handful of weeds from the roadside and made them into a a small bouquet. She felt embarrassed because she could only give this small present to Jesus. As she walked through the chapel to the altar, she remembered what Pedro had said. She began to feel better, knelt down and put the bouquet at the bottom of the nativity scene. Suddenly, the bouquet of weeds burst into bright red flowers, and everyone who saw them were sure they had seen a miracle. From that day on, the bright red flowers were known as the 'Flores de Noche Buena', or 'Flowers of the Holy Night'.
The shape of the poinsettia flower and leaves are sometimes thought as a symbol of the Star of Bethlehem which led the Wise Men to Jesus. The red colored leaves symbolize the blood of Christ. The white leaves represent his purity.

To me this legend goes with one of my favorite children's hymns:

What can I give Him
What can I give Him, poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
if I were a wise man, I would do my part.
Yet what I can I give Him--give my heart.

Hello Friends!!  It is December!! Can you believe it!! Christmas is less than 4 weeks away!  Yikes!!

Today I am popping in to share a card I made for this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs which is to create a Christmas card with ODBD stamps!!  Easy peasy right?

For my creation I created a die cut scene with the new Gilded Gate dies, Mini Tags dies, Fancy Foliage Die (prior release), and the Let It Snow  and Mini tag sentiment stamps.

May we share the good news and joy of the true meaning of Christmas not only with our joyful spirit but our love for those God puts in our path.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
